The following questions are not one the The Sky Digital FAQ at
http://skydigitalfaq.cjb.net (Who's computer is this?)
Would anyone care to add & answer them?
I have a Sky digibox. I don't have it to watch Sky, I am forced to have
it because I just want the National Digital BBC channels that I am
already paying a license fee for:
1) I want to swop for a Grundig Digibox with an S-Video out to get a
better quality picture. If I get hold of an out-of-contract Gundig box,
what is the procedure with Murdoch's goons to re-enable my viewing card
on the new box. What sort of ransom fee do I have to pay?
2) I thought that the EU had passed a law/directive that required all
DVB broadcasters in Europe to use CI CAMS. Why is Sky allowed to get
away without doing this & when will a CAM be available for BBC/ITV so
that I can pick up the BBC through any standard CI-enabled DVB
broadcaster & not have to go use Sky?
3) When will the EU enforce their laws to force Sky to make a CAM
available to access theit services so that there is free competition for
the provision of Sky receivers?
Regards,
John
