No, I didn't blow my deadline for this month's FAQ[1], I just forgot
to post this announcement that the thing is so friggin' long that I'm
taking some time to split it into two posts, so I'll post them
somewhere between the 10th and the 15th, as soon as I've finished
editing them. It's summer, so I can unlax and rewind a little bit and
was going to be doing this whether a renewal was announced or not.

In the meantime, how about signing the Season 8 Mandate petition that
I wrote and a gg.org friend posted at:

And spreading the word. Although the focus is on getting another
season of the show, I didn't limit the petition to just asking for
another season, I also added "or as any other compromise that results
in the continuation of the series to a more natural, less forced
conclusion." Which IMO (since I wrote it) means that even those of
you who want just a 2-hour movie or think that a 2-hour movie is all
we can get, you should sign it, too. There's a comments box to
accompany your signature where you can state that you'd prefer the
2-hour movie. If they see a lot of comments in favor of a 2-hour
movie and that causes them to greenlight one rather than greenlight a
season 8, then hey, okay. Anything but leaving it on a season finale
that wasn't meant to bear the weight of a series finale.
