Friends and Colleagues,

This is a cross-post, I apologize to those whom have already received
it on another list ...

Dr. Garry Walz and I are co-authoring a book that intends to collect
frequently asked questions (FAQ's) about school counseling. Questions
can come from the perspectives of graduate students in counseling,
K-12 students, school counselors, teachers, parents, counseling
faculty, administrators, and other stake holders. Once we identify
questions which are highly pervasive and relevant, we intend to
provide answers which reflect both innovative and popular thinking
from the field. The book, we believe, will serve to help counseling
students overview important questions (and answers) in the field.
Second, we want to help counselors and other stake holders gain
clarity on important issues for enhancing collaboration,
communication, and continued development of the profession. Third, we
believe that the book will serve others (e.g., teachers, parents, and
administrators) to better understand comprehensive and competency
based school counseling which could lead to more effective support for
our work.

I have two requests. First, please forward this email to others who
might like to contribute. Second, please contribute yourself by
completing an online form at www.schoolcounselor.com/faq
