Justification:

These files are currently being posted in groups not in the
alt.binaries.* hierarchy so it would be a good idea to create this
group.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1. What should be posted here?

A1-a. It seems much more efficient to state what should NOT be posted
here first.

ABPS does NOT welcome Child Porn/Kiddie Porn in ANY medium or posted
in ANY format.

Child pornography is NOT to be posted in ABPS, and, because laws
change from country to country, ABPS considers child pornography to be
any photos, videos, or drawings that depict children involved in
sexual activities, or children in positions blatently showing
suggestive poses and/or genetalia.

Kiddie porn is simply illegal and we won't tolerate it.

There are repercussions for the poster, as you will be reported to the
proper authorities by the regular members/contributors of this group.

ABPS does NOT welcome postings in yEnc format.

ABPS does NOT welcome Adverts or Commercial posts (SPAM).

Spammers are fuckheads, we all see quite enough of it. Post yours
somewhere else.

ABPS does NOT welcome flooding posts of over 200 posts per day.

Flooding causes some servers to bounce off older posts in lieu of the
newer posts.

A1-b.

ABPS does indeed welcum a huge variety of shares.

Static .jpg, .jpeg pictures, .gifs, .png, .pps tubes and HTML posts
that include sound files are welcome.

.bmp files should be changed to something more size manageable before
posting.

Sound files are welcome, in moderation. If you would like to share for
example, a song, feel free, but if you want to share for example, an
album, try to keep your posts to 200 a day, or, use a file sharing
service like yousendit, and share the download link here.

Please virus check your shares before posting them in ABPS.

1. Indexes are always appreciated for large sets of posts.

2. Accurate descriptions in subject lines are always appreciated.

3. Fair warning in subject lines of ADULT, HTML, GROSS, POLITICAL,
ect, are always appreciated.

4. As stated in "A1-b" above, sound files are welcome, but video files
of any kind, and .exe files should not be posted here, but rather
uploaded to a file sharing service like yousendit, with the download
link shared here.

5. This newsgroup is mainly English speaking and it is assumed all
posts are in English, unless otherwise stated.
