This FAQ for the usenet newsgroup alt.binaries.nospam.simpsons-pr0n is
meant to answer newbie questions. It can be reposted at will by anybody!

Parts are borrowed from the alt.binaries.nospam.toons FAQ until I have
time to write an all original FAQ or when someone writes a better one. :)

Section I: Introduction

1 What is alt.binaries.nospam.simpsons-pr0n?

alt.binaries.nospam.simpsons-pr0n (“ABNS-P” for short) is a newsgroup for
erotic parody art and stories about characters of The Simpsons. It’s
unmoderated and it’s for adults only.

2 Why does ABNS-P exist?

It was created because erotic Simpsons parody art is popular and deserved
a home newsgroup (like alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.disney for erotic
Disney parodies). ABNS-P also gives a place for floods of erotic Simpsons
parodies that can disrupt the "all purpose" erotic cartoon newsgroups
because of their sizes.

3 Who may post? What kind of posts are welcomed?

ABNS-P welcomes all erotic picture/story/animation/movie/sound parodies
starring characters of The Simpsons. Discussion about The Simpsons
(erotic and non-erotic) is also welcomed.

New artists are encouraged to share their latest works, and collectors are
encouraged to post their archives for everybody’s benefit. Reference
material, model sheets, and screen caps are also on topic.

Section II: General guidelines

1 ABNS-P is a friendly environment. Be courteous. Don’t hold back from
telling artists or posters if you like their contributions. The more you
post, the more others will post.

Constructive criticism is perfectly good if you don’t flame. If something
being posted offends you, stop reading ABNS-P. Everything here is from
the pure imagination of artists and no real people get hurt.

People who complain or denigrate the efforts of artists and posters add
nothing to ABNS-P. They should be ignored and killfiled. If you have a
real problem with someone, take it to email or another newsgroup.

2 Only erotic parodies starring characters from The Simpsons should be
posted. (Crossovers between Simpsons and other characters are acceptable.)

3 Please don’t crosspost to other newsgroups.

4 Unless your site really has erotic Simpsons parodies on it, this is the
wrong newsgroup for advertising. Obvious spammers will be reported.

Section III: File posting guidelines

1 Please try not to post with yEnc. This is a strong suggestion, not a
hard rule. (Older news readers can’t handle it and some people just like
keeping the ones they have now.) UUE and MIME posts can be seen by all.
yEnc is recommended for massive floods (like the Wacky Ned zips) only.

2 Original files are best. If what you post has been re-named, resized,
recompressed or otherwise altered from the original, please indicate this.

3 Giving the names of the characters, the artists, or (preferably) both
in your Subject lines is good.

4 When posting floods or sets, please include an index. This lets people
see what is in the set/flood without having to download everything.

5 It is strongly suggested, though not required, that posters use their
common sense when posting floods and limit them to a reasonable amount
per 24 hours (30-50 files).

Section IV: Wacky Ned zips

1 What are the Wacky Ned zips?

They are a huge collection of erotic Simpsons parodies (2,000+ images,
260+ animations, almost 100 stories, plus shockwaves, movies, kisake dolls
and sounds from 120+ Simpsons artists).

2 How do I download them?

The instructions from PAL’s site can answer this:

The zip files are grouped in multiple "series". Each series may consist
of 1 or more zip files.

Download then unpack the zips one series at a time, going from series 1
to the last. (There are instructions in successive series on renaming
contents from the ones before. If if you don’t unpack them in order,
alot of their contents will get lost.)

This may sound complicated but it’t not.

a. Download all the SERIES 1 zips first. Put them in a folder on your
computer like C:\Simpsons and then unpack them with your unzipper’s
"restore directory structure in ZIP file" option ON. This will unzip
their contents into proper subfolders like C:\Simpsons\IMAGES\, etc.

b. Download SERIES 2 into C:\Simpsons, unpack it. Two files will come
out: "Series2-ReadThisFIRST.txt" and "2.ZIP". Read and follow the
instructions in "Series2-ReadThisFIRST.txt", and THEN unpack "2.ZIP"
with the "restore directory structure" option on.

c. Repeat step B over and over for each additional series (3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, etc.).

3 What are the zip’s correct file names?

The zips used to have short file names, but they were renamed (because the
old names' letters ran out). If you have copies under the old file names,
please rename them appropriately before posting them (as requested in the
zips). The official file names:
